The challenge

A two-sided marketplace cold start: no deals without merchants, no merchants without shoppers. Both sides had to be built simultaneously, nationwide.

What I did

Developed the business development playbook and personally drove merchant onboarding, while shaping the consumer deal-discovery experience and the merchant dashboard for creating and managing offers.

Results

  • Onboarded 2,500+ businesses across retail, restaurants, services, and travel
  • Shipped a two-sided web application: consumer deal discovery plus a self-serve merchant dashboard
  • Built the pricing, onboarding, and support processes that let a small team serve thousands of partners

ZBRITJE (meaning "Discounts" in Albanian) was a nationwide deals and discounts marketplace connecting consumers with local businesses across Kosovo.

The platform required building both supply and demand simultaneously, signing up merchants while attracting shoppers. I developed the business development playbook, onboarded 2,500+ businesses, and helped design the consumer-facing deal discovery experience.

The platform covered retail, restaurants, services, and travel, with a custom merchant dashboard for managing offers and a mobile-optimized experience for consumers finding deals.

As product developer and business lead, I helped build the marketplace as a two-sided web application: a consumer-facing deal-discovery interface and a merchant dashboard for creating and managing offers. The business side covered partner onboarding, pricing, and the processes to support 2,500+ merchants; the product side covered storefront UX, search and category browsing, and a mobile-optimized buying flow.
