A new pizzeria opened in Pristina, styled after a global brand, Pizza Hut, except with an extra T tacked onto the end of the name.
The menu had plenty of pizza varieties along with other food, including qebapa, pleskavica and bombica. Every pizza came in three crust styles: thin, thick and a stuffed-crust version with melted cheese in the edge. Being a new place, they clearly hadn’t yet calibrated for how many customers to expect, since the pizza took a slow 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. The taste itself was good enough that it put me in the mood to go rediscover Pac-Man while waiting.
One real complaint: Kosovo Albanians have built a habit of dousing basically everything in ketchup and mayonnaise, a combination that has no business near most of this food and ruins the flavor of nearly everything it touches, burgers being the one reasonable exception.
