Before I say what Televizioni.net was, it’s easier to say what it wasn’t.
It was not a TV channel broadcasting twenty minutes of shows at a time. Not a magazine you’d buy every morning. Not a video rental store where you’d take home a CD or DVD. And nobody involved was working under some boss’s schedule. So what was it?
It started as a hobby called “Reklama Shqip,” Albanian Ads, a site where people could go watch the ads they usually change the channel to avoid. Some ads are genuinely good, made with real craft, and they deserve an audience that chose to be there instead of one waiting for the show to come back. Televizioni.net was the version of that idea with a name and a domain.
The site carried no ads of its own. I could have made a few cents running Google ads alongside video ads, which felt a little absurd, and skipped it entirely to keep the page clean and simple. If you produced video ads, or worked with someone who did, you could open an account and add a link if your work was already on YouTube, Yahoo, or Vimeo, or upload it directly if it wasn’t. If you had nothing to do with producing ads, you could still show up, comment, and rate what you saw.
Televizioni.net, in short: we weren’t making ads. We were just watching the good ones.
It never became a company the way Qysh Me later did. It was one of a handful of small, quick ideas from that period, a domain and a concept tested to see if it held up, mostly to find out whether “watch ads on purpose” was a real behavior or just a nice pitch. I don’t know that it fully answered that question. But it’s where a lot of the instinct behind Qysh Me came from: build the smallest possible version of an idea, put it online, and see if anyone shows up.
